So I had been up all evening doing laundry, tidying up (yes, thats right), and generally getting ready for bed when, just as I’m about to do my evening blood pressure check, I hear a knock at the door.
Who the fuck knocks on my door at 2 AM without calling? Seriously. ‘The Jerk’ doesn’t have a car, I haven’t talked to fire-dancer for months, the ex lives in Phoenix, and none of my employees know exactly where I live (e.g. which appartment). So who the hell is rapping on my chamber door at two in the morning?
It wasn’t a raven, but it was Tempe’s Finest. I had to open the door to see who it was, unfortunately they did not stand in front of the peep-hole and their all black “Look at me I’m a soldier” outfits make them impossible to see at night (the dude’s hat actually blended into the darkness, I couldn’t tell where his head ended and the sky began). Apparantly someone reported a child running around outside. At two in the morning. And thought that it belonged to this appartment.
An apartment where the only woman to step through the door has been my Mother.
My neighbors really don’t pay any attention to me (and I work such odd hours I really don’t see anyone). But I thought it was interesting. I told the cop “Nope, no children live here. I’ll be up for a few more hours so if I come across a rugrat I’ll give y’all a call.” The urge to say “Is your number still 911?” was overwhelming!
‘The Jerk’ and I went to see Valkyrie today, a very good movie, even though I dislike Tom Cruise and laugh at the fact he had trouble getting into Germany being a brainwashed Scientologist. I highly recommend it!
Taxes are all done and filed, before the start of February. For those looking for recommendations on tax services, I do my own through HR Block’s TaxCut website. I’ve been using it for several years now and it has helped maximize my returns, so I plan to continue using it in the future.
So, that’s my story about when the police come a knocking, rap, rap, rapping upon my chamber door.
I started my walking routine today along what I’ve tearmed as “The Blue Route” around the Kiwanis Park Pond. It’s about 1 and a half miles in length total per Google Maps, and it varies with some soft hills for an added bonus. Plenty of benches and shaded areas if I need to rest once it gets warmer.
During the walk, and after, I felt great! The entire day so far has been awesome. I got plenty of sleep last night, got up, had a good breakfast, went for my walk, and now I feel good.
I’ve already finished my taxes, and I will be getting a large enough refund back to get a cat, a tredmil (for late nights or when the heat is too much), and a new flat panel monitor for my computer (YAY!).
I get my new team at work on Sunday, so I’m spending today just getting some things taken care of, I might even head in to the office in a few hours to look over a few things that need my attention. But these last few days since I started taking my vitamins and supplements I have been feeling wonderul. I sleep better, my metabolism is higher, everything seems to be working much, much better!
Wow, what a day!
Oh my was last week exhausting. This next week is going to be just as bad. Teams are changing at work and I have to get reports done for all of my people before they move to another team, plus all of my other stuff. I finally got a good nights rest last night, a good jumpstart back into normalicy. Well, somewhat normal. Yesterday I drank 2.75 litres of water. I normally don’t drink that in a week, muchless a day. But, I need it. It’s good for me. I also am not getting used to eating so often. It’s really going to drive me bonkers I tell ya.
So anyway it looks like a cat might be out of the question with my tax refund, more like a tredmill and a George Foreman Grill. BAH! I’d rather have a cat, honestly. They purrfect

Okay, well, enough sitting here rambling about nothing. For the record, I’m working on losing 50 pounds by June. For several reasons: I will be graduating about then. My little brother will be graduating about then. And, my brother got my parents to agree if I did that, they’d stop smoking. Win, Win, Win. So, I start at 387 and I’m beginning my trek down. I feel good already, the better sleep and added nutrients have boosed my energy, now all I have to do is get myself on a schedule that will allow for exercise, and ‘just do it’. I’m making good progress though, getting the foundation ready.
Now, where the fuck is my W-2. Uncle Sam and Aunt Arizona owe me some cash!
